Prof. Bai received China Yowth Science and Tecnology Prize

Recently,  Prof. Bai received 11th China Yowth Science and Tecnology Prize.
Linquan Bai was born in Shandong, China in 1971. He received his BSc in microbiology from Shandong University (1992). Following his MS and PhD studies respectively with Professor Qi Zhou and Professor Zixin Deng in Huazhong Agricultural University, he had spent three years as a postdoctoral research associate in the laboratory of Professor H. G. Floss at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. In 2002 he began his academic career as an Associate Professor at the School of Life Sciences & Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In the winter of 2006, he had spent 4 months on antibiotic regulation as a visiting scholar in Professor Wolfgang Wohlleben’s laboratory at University of Tuebingen, Germany. In 2008, he was appointed as full Professor of Genetics. His research interests include understanding biosynthetic and regulatory mechanisms of microbial secondary metabolism,pathway engineering, and functional genomics of antibiotic producers.
